Could you introduce yourself?

I am Ruben Weinstein (Grande École 2025), co-founder of Speakli, a young French startup developing an artificial intelligence solution designed for healthcare professionals. Our mission is simple: to give caregivers back human time by radically simplifying care documentation and traceability.

At Speakli, we deeply believe that technology should fade into the background of its use. It must be simple and intuitive on the surface, robust in its architecture, and ethical at its core. Our ambition is to build a tool that integrates naturally into the daily routines of care teams, without adding complexity to their work.

What is the concept behind Speakli?

Today, 30% of caregivers’ time in nursing homes is devoted to documentation related to resident monitoring. This administrative task is essential to ensure quality of care, regulatory compliance, and facility funding, but it diverts professionals from their core mission: human connection.

Speakli enables paramedical staff (nurses, nursing assistants, etc.) to dictate their actions and observations using their voice. Our voice AI technology instantly transforms their speech into structured, compliant documentation, directly integrated into the professional software used by the caregiver.

The goal is not only to save time, but to concretely improve caregivers’ quality of work life and the quality of care provided to residents in facilities.

How did you come up with the idea?

The idea emerged from a dual realization.

First, from a meaningful encounter with Dr. Safar, a coordinating physician in nursing homes for over twenty years. She clearly described the sector’s growing tensions: staff shortages, increasing regulatory requirements, particularly following recent nursing home scandals, and financial pressure linked to dependency levels and care traceability.

At the same time, during my visits to my grandmother in a nursing home, I regularly saw deeply committed but overwhelmed caregivers. They were doing their very best, with remarkable humanity, yet still spending significant time behind a computer or filling out paperwork to document every action.

The issue was not a lack of goodwill. It was systemic. We decided to act where the impact could be immediate: freeing up administrative time to restore relational time.

Where are you today? What are you most proud of?

Today, Speakli is being deployed in more than 20 public and private facilities. We are currently launching larger-scale pilots within major healthcare groups in France and across Europe.

The coming weeks will be pivotal: everything is about to accelerate. We are preparing to scale, with a fundraising round planned for the second half of 2026 to strengthen our technology, operations, and commercial teams.

But our greatest pride is not measured in metrics or growth curves.

It is seen in the looks and renewed smiles during our visits to facilities. It is heard in the relief in someone’s voice on the phone after a few weeks of use. It is felt in the different energy of a team that has regained control of its time.

Seeing caregivers more available, more at ease, more present for residents — that is what drives us every day. Knowing that our work helps lighten their mental load and restore meaning to their days is our greatest achievement.

Why did you participate in the IESEG Entrepreneur Prize 2026?

As a recent IESEG graduate, it felt natural to present the work accomplished by our team to students, alumni, and innovation-driven members of the school community. Participating in the Entrepreneur Prize was an opportunity to share Speakli’s vision and showcase a project deeply rooted in societal impact.

IESEG trains engaged, responsible individuals committed to positively transforming society. It was important for me to contribute to this entrepreneurial dynamic.

Moreover, the opportunity to win a €8,000 prize is obviously significant at our current stage of development. This financial support allows us to further accelerate our market launch and strengthen our operational capabilities at a key moment in our growth.

What are your objectives for the coming years?

Our ambition is clear: to become the leader in nursing documentation and dependency monitoring.

We aim to support elderly people, as well as individuals with disabilities, both at home and in specialized facilities. Our rollout will begin in France, before expanding to Europe and North America.

In the short term, our priority is to confirm our value at scale in the French market and finalize a Seed funding round to accelerate our development.

A final word?

If you would like to contribute to the future of our elders,  and to those who care for them, let’s connect. We will be present at Santexpo 2026 with a dedicated booth. Come and meet us!

Innovation in healthcare is not a luxury. It is a collective necessity. At Speakli, we are determined to play our part.
